Label your Life is an EMMA research project that investigates the possibilities of RFID based systems for visually disabled users. RFID technology provides chips with identification tags in a wireless setup anytime, everywhere. Bartiméus Accessibility is interested in the new possibilities RFID brings for their clients with a visual disability. The project aims to explore the possibilities of RFID technology, document on the currently available technical applications for the blind and to develop a new innovative application using RFID-technology.
The Label your Life group developed an auditory playground, where multiple visually impaired people can play around freely in a fun game environment without running the risk of bumping into each other. You can find out more about the playground under Section1216.
